A Google search can assist you find a bunch of websites that offer a variety of free Blogger templates. Templateism is the one I prefer.
But there is a problem with free templates.
That is, they contain a hyperlink in the footer area, linking back to the developer's website. It may diminish your authority in terms of search rankings.
If you want to get rid of the credit link, you will need to purchase the premium version that costs around ten to thirty bucks but some websites charge even more.

How To Install Blogger Template
- It should be a .zip file. So, you are going to need WinRAR or a substitute. Extract it to whatever the location you desire on your computer.
- The extracted folder may contain more than one file including documentation and some images. It depends on the developer.
- All you want is the .xml document because this is the main Template file that has to be uploaded to Blogger. In my case, I have a total of two files. The arrow indicates the XML document. Have a look at the screenshot below:
- Go to Blogger >> Theme and click the button that says "Backup/Restore" (Top-Right corner). A box will show up that looks like this:
- Click "Download Theme" to download a backup of the current template to your computer. You will have the option to restore it in case something goes wrong.
- Now, to upload the theme you just downloaded, click "Choose File" button and select the .xml doc we just talked about. Click the upload button and you're done.
